Legacy 272

I would like to tell you about the place that Sadie, Mr. A and I just enjoyed but I am way too stuffed!   We went to the place that used to be the Venue but just as Monday switched to a new place that is ran by the people who run the Cellar.  We started out with Mozzarella triangles which were yummy, but how can you screw up fried cheese?  The burger I had was huge and fantastic.  The only thing I did not like about the place was the fact that the water tasted like towels.  I mean the water tasted like it was from the pool, so I opted to drink iced tea.  The prices were a little higher than I wanted to pay just for a burger and fries, but non the less I ate it all and enjoyed.  I honestly do not know what the food was really like, because I had been at the bar all day so I'm sure any food would have been good.  Maybe I will try this place another time when I am a little bit more sober  :)  Over all I would rate this place a 8 out of 10.  They had a good children's menu, the food was good but a little over priced and they served booze.    The wait staff was getting used to the new menu, so I would recommend giving it a few weeks and then going there.

I love eating in new restaurants, especially when everyone and their dog doesn't yet know about it.  We found out about Legacy 272 just by random chance the same day we ended up eating there.  We had planned on doing $6.50 burgers and beers somewhere else, but sitting for 30 minutes with a 7 year old is never something fun.  We opted to try this new place out.

The servers were still getting their bearings on the menu, but were very helpful, and friendly.  I was extremely impressed with the atmosphere.  The booth we sat out was very much out in the open, but the way it was set up, it felt very secluded, and private.

Our appetizer was fried cheese squares.  Before and After photos.
It's pretty hard to disappoint when it comes to ordering a delicious burger.
Mine had onions and dijon ranch sauce on it.  SINFUL!

Aiden's pizza was handmade and smelled phenomenal.
All in all a very pleasant experience.  There were only a couple of down sides.  The first of which was our water refills tasted like they came straight out of the towel bucket in the back (the first batch of water tasted fine.)  Next, the prices were a bit higher than we had planned, though $9 for a huge cheeseburger and fries at a nice place is pretty standard.  Finally, toward the end of our meal, our server picked up some plates from our table, and then dropped them, flinging a fork at and narrowly missing Tancy's forehead.

We made it out without any mass casualties.  7 our of 10.  I will go back.

  1. I completely forgot about the fork flying through the air and almost killing me! do you think they would have given us a free meal if the fork actually got stuck in my head??

  2. I think the resturant is called Legacy 272, as in Kearney's exit off the interstate. Silly drunk bloggers.
